Yeditepe University in İstanbul invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Materials  Science and Nanotechnology Engineering.  Established in 1996 Yeditepe University is one of the biggest foundation universities in Turkey. The University provides high quality education across 13 faculties, 77 undergraduate and 4 associate programs

Job Description

Our vision is to tightly integrate modern trends in materials science and nanotechnology engineering with strategic national priorities and industrial requirements while promoting cross-disciplinary collaborations within or outside of our institution. In lined with this, we seek to hire outstanding individuals for academic mentoring and supervision at both undergraduate and graduate levels.  In addition, successful candidates are expected to establish a strong, internationally recognized, and externally funded research program.

Requirement

Applications are welcome from individuals with strong research experience in all areas of materials science and nanotechnology engineering but priority will be given to the following areas;

• Advanced biomedical materials
• Advanced energy materials
• Novel functional materials
• Surface and interface engineering
• Modern (additive / multiscale) manufacturing techniques
• Computational materials engineering

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering or a closely related field. Experience in innovative teaching will be an asset while a strong technical, academic and professional track record commensurate with the rank of appointment is highly essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong communication, teaching and leadership skills as well as the ability to actively contribute to the existing research profile of the department.

Remuneration       : Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and internal equity. Benefits package, including accommodation and medical health care insurance will be offered.
