Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Fractional Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Cariology (A), Endodontics (B), and Prosthodontics (C) in the Faculty of Dentistry (4 posts) (Ref.: 501682) to commence in September 2020, on a two-year fixed-term basis.

For appointment as Senior Clinical Practitioner, applicants should possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or equivalent, and a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree or equivalent in Endodontics for post B or Prosthodontics for post C.  For post A, applicants should have clearly demonstrable clinical experience in the comprehensive treatment of dental patients and preferably a higher qualification in Conservative Dentistry, General Dental Practice or Family Dentistry. For all posts, applicants should be able to demonstrate proven clinical experience that shows a significant and continuous contribution to an education programme, and other relevant clinical/academic experience that has been positively evaluated by professional/academic peers at a similar level of clinical competence and training.

For appointment as Clinical Practitioner, applicants should possess a BDS degree or equivalent.

The appointees will supervise clinical teaching pertaining to the nominated Discipline (including Comprehensive Dental Care) to undergraduate students and clinical service; and assist with managing students’ families of patients.  Senior Clinical Practitioners in Endodontics and Prosthodontics who are registered as a specialist may also provide clinical training to postgraduate students.  Enquiries about the duties of the posts should be sent to Professor M.F. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  For Senior Clinical Practitioner posts, housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
