Lecturer in Global History Education
The Department of History at King’s College London seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Global History for a 1-year period from 1 September 2020.
The post-holder will specialize in World History, with a particular focus on the history of the French empire, and participate in departmental teaching of the subject. They will act as personal tutor to undergraduate students and undertake administrative duties.
Excellent teaching ability, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative ethos are essential for the role. Support will be provided to enable the post holder to develop their research profile and pedagogic practices. Candidates should have completed their PhD by the date of appointment.
We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented in the Department of History.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held in late July or early August.
