The Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics is a research centre that is co-hosted by UCD, DCU, NUIG and UCC. At Insight we support 450+ researchers across areas such as the Fundamentals of Data Science, Sensing and Actuation, Scaling Algorithms, Model Building, Multi Modal Analysis, Data Engineering and Governance, Decision Making and Trustworthy AI. Our research can be applied across four broad areas; Health and Human Performance, Enterprise and Services, Smart Communities and IoT, and Sustainability and Operations

Insight is now in its 2nd phase, and is working to achieve a very ambitious set of cost-share targets from a variety of sources including industry partnerships, philanthropic sources, and national/international funding agencies. The Phase 2 Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Centre's business development strategy and non-exchequer, non-commercial (NE-NC) funding strategy, and achieving its cost share goals. He/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders identify opportunities for attracting funding for Insight's research and EPE activities. The role will also be responsible for leading the development of innovative funding models to maximise opportunities and impact for the centre and its range of funding partners. A critical element of the role will be liaison with Insight investigators and research teams to develop a deep understanding of ongoing research programmes in Insight, leading to the capability to communicate the Insight value proposition to external stakeholders and partners.

Salary Range: €€65,000 - €90,000 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
