Manchester/flexible (UK)

£27,511 - £31,865 per annum (according to relevant experience)

Ref: PSX-15518

Our people and our values are at the heart of what we do as a University. Our most recent staff survey showed that 92% of respondents feel that the University is a good place to work and 89% are proud to work for the University. You’ll be joining an employer which takes its commitment to social responsibility very seriously, not least in the role we play in providing education to people of all backgrounds and from around the world.

We are expanding our eLearning team to ensure that our students have a consistently excellent experience of online and blended learning at The University of Manchester.  We are investing in a number of new roles, to join our existing eLearning team, to enhance our blended learning activities and help us develop more flexible provision for the future.

We are looking for a number of skilled, experienced and enthusiastic people to be part of a team of eLearning Support Officers providing support for staff across The University of Manchester.  Working flexibly and under the direction of the eLearning Manager in the assigned team, eLearning Support Officers will support Learning Technologists and the academic community in the development of innovative, electronically delivered teaching and learning activities for our students.

You will also provide advice and guidance to students, and to other colleagues in the University’s Professional Services team, across the institution.

You will have experience of working in eLearning or in a teaching and learning environment, together with experience of developing eLearning material and activities for digital delivery.  Experience of using Blackboard, and an awareness of web-based technologies and their use in higher education, are desirable.

These permanent roles are available on a full time and part time basis. Initially all roles will be home based whilst our campus is partially closed due to Coronavirus. We will be happy to consider flexible working options when campus re-opens including home working on an ongoing basis.
