Job Description Summary

As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior throughout the lifespan. The Section Research Project Manager will assist the Section Director, Program Directors, Investigators and Trainees, in attaining the research goals and managing the research across teams in all aspects of the research.

Section Research Project Manager

The Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section is recruiting for a new Section Research Project Manager for neurodevelopmental and biomarker studies. The research program includes multiple projects integrating brain behavior, genomics and biomarkers, with emphasis on youth and psychosis. The Section Research Project Manager will assist the Section Director, Program Directors, Investigators and Trainees in attaining the research goals and managing the research teams in all  aspects of the research. These include preparation of NIH and IRB progress reports, personnel and timeline management, anticipating and providing resources and bringing overall cohesiveness to the programs. The Section Research Manager will work closely with faculty and trainees overseeing projects’ implementation, monitoring progress in enrollment, and integration with bioinformatics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (master’s degree or PhD preferred) in a biomedical or behavioral field and 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. An established track record of experience working with diverse psychiatric populations and integrating multiple measures (e.g. clinical, cognitive, neuroimaging, inflammatory, genomic). Superb organizational skills, communication skills and multi-tasking are necessary for this position as well as strong computer skills and database interface.

Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent on funding.
