Position Summary:

Under Routine to General guidance, the Research Associate in Robotic Engineering will be responsible for developing, implementing and validating suitable algorithms that meet the project’s objectives. The role includes developing bespoke software for programming industrial robots, preparing simulations for validation and visualisation purposes, writing progress reports, assisting in preparing research publications, giving presentations, meeting project timelines and reporting outcomes to the Industry Partner.

The position will support major defence projects in the College of Science and Engineering involving the use of robotic and autonomous systems, enhancing its research outcomes and attracting research income and collaborations. The incumbent will work closely with peers to support the Centre’s existing activities and future developments.

A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
