2021 Nanyang Assistant Professorship Call

NTU invites outstanding young researchers and exceptional scholars to apply for appointment as Nanyang Assistant Professors.

Successful candidates will

  • Receive start-up research grants of up to S$ 1 million (US$ 720K; €635K; £566K)
  • Enjoy attractive remuneration package and other benefits including assistance with accommodation
  • Hold tenure-track appointments and play lead roles in the university’s new wave of multi-disciplinary, integrative research

Desired skills and experience:

  • Early career researcher (post-doctoral fellow or equivalent) from a reputable university
  • PhD degree in any discipline obtained no more than 10 years at the closing date of this NAP Call (i.e. as at 30 Sep 2020)
  • Strong track record for publication and relevant teaching experience
  • Ready to lead his/her research group independently

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
