Applicants are invited for the temporary position of Lecturer/Assistant (below the bar) in Statistics (BDIC), UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics; with particular responsibility for teaching at Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC).

The Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) is a recognised College of BJUT and UCD, offering a number of dual degree programmes. The School of Mathematics and Statistics is delivering modules in these programmes and is now recruiting a lecturer to work on these programmes.

The successful post-holders will undertake teaching duties in BDIC. In addition to lecturing within the School and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects, the successful candidate will contribute to sustaining and developing the School's undergraduate and Master's-level programmes and will support and develop the School's research activities.

IMP. Note: it is expected, in each academic year, that the successful candidate will be resident in Beijing for one semester (approximately 18 weeks) and perhaps for up to half a year (26 weeks).

95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (below the bar) 2010 salary scale: €34,065 - €59,788 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guideline
