Job Description

Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow for the DST-SERB Funded Project in Department of Physics, School of advanced sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology.

Title of the Project: Yielding and Plastic Deformation in Amorphous Materials.

Qualification: M Sc (Physics); M Tech (Materials Science). Ongoing last semester M Sc students can also apply.

Desirable (if any)

• Basic knowledge in Condensed Matter Physics.
• Note : Selected candidate will have an opportunity to register for PhD degree in VIT.

Stipend: MTech/MSc with GATE/JEST/NET: JRF (Rs. 31,000/-) + 8 % HRA (Rs. 2,480/-) per month.

Candidates without GATE/NET, stipend will be as per institute norms.

Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science and Technology, SERB.
Duration: 2 years (In 3rd year, the same amount of fellowship will be given by VIT)
