Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (Ref.: 500253), to commence on September 1, 2020, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields, and at least 3 years’ teaching experience in AI and big data. The appointee will teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, develop teaching materials and perform administrative duties, etc. He/She will also work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning and support curriculum design. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
