Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (Ref.: 500253), to commence on September 1, 2020, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields, and at least 3 years’ teaching experience in AI and big data.  The appointee will teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, develop teaching materials and perform administrative duties, etc.  He/She will also work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning and support curriculum design.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Professor Guosheng Yin at gyin@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
