We are looking for a well-organised, confident and proactive administrator with strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent IT skills (with particular experience of using Excel to manage budgets) to support the Rolls-Royce funded University Technology Centre in Composites within the Bristol Composites Institute. You will work closely with the UTC Director and UTC Project manager to provide administration and project support, undertake budget monitoring,  design and prepare a range of documents (including project reports) and publicity material, organise and support internal and external events, and offer executive support for the Director, as well as conducting other tasks required in the provision of a professional support service.

This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who wants to build a career in supporting research projects and is interested in working in partnership with industry.

The position is offered on a full-time fixed term basis until 01/04/2021.

You will be managed within the Bristol Composites Institute Research Support Team and be part of the Faculty’s Industrial Liaison Office Research Support Network. This is a team of about ~40 research administrators and project managers who meet regularly to share best practice and offer mutual support.

Informal enquiries about this position can be made to Hajnal Farkas, UTC Project Manager and line manager to the post, (hajnal.farkas@bristol.ac.uk) or Clare Thresher, Bristol Composites Institute Manager (Clare.Thresher@bristol.ac.uk).

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
