Full Professorship (W3) of Media and Communication (Chair)

commencing as soon as possible.

The professorship is based in the Department of Media and Communication. The person to be appointed has a proven track record in the field of strategic communication (e.g. corporate communication, campaigns, propaganda, persuasion) and/or in the fields of science, environmental, and/or health communication. In-depth knowledge and research experience of the consequences of digitisation for the research areas mentioned is expected. An excellent international research record, expertise in social science methods, and a highly developed professional network in Germany and abroad are expected. In teaching, the appointee will be involved in all programs offered at the Department of Media and Communication. A high level of commitment to teaching is a prerequisite.

Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements, and a productive and promising research program.
