Who are we?
TEDI-London is an innovative new higher education institution in London wholly focused on engineering, co-founded by Arizona State University, King’s College London, and UNSW Sydney.
Our vision is to transform engineering education to transform lives – both for students and for the users of the products they design and make. In a start-up, each day really is different. We work collaboratively at TEDI-London on big decisions, but also need individuals that take initiative and have the skills and experience to manage their own work areas. We are a start-up with huge ambition, but you should not expect to join an organisation with all the answers, and everything mapped out. That is what we need you for, to be part of our journey.
You will not have a huge team and infrastructure in place. One day you might be writing a strategy or paper for the board – another you might be proofreading a letter. You will relish the chance to be in a new organisation with a world of possibilities where you can genuinely see the value that you add on a daily basis. The team you work with will be from different functions and levels – all united in one goal -to make TEDI-London a success.
Reporting to our Deputy Dean, you will lead the development and implementation of our bespoke Virtual Learning Environment – our ‘Learning Tree’. It is an exciting time to join us and to play a significant part in continuing to shape and deliver our curriculum.
At TEDI-London, the majority of the learning outcomes will be delivered through real-world projects. Our ‘Learning Tree’ is pivotal to our unique pedagogy and gives students access to the content of our curriculum ‘just in time’. You will lead the ongoing development of our ‘Learning Tree’ and its content – comprising around 500 learning ‘nodes’, each of which is a 3-hour learning session.
You will be a passionate academic educator with a desire make a difference to the future of engineering education, you will eagerly rise to this challenge – having fun along the way.
You will have significant HEI leadership in developing innovative curriculum and pedagogical approaches in delivering student centred programmes, along with excellent influencing, coordination and communication skills. It is essential that the idea candidate holds demonstrable awareness of academic regulations, quality assurance and its practical application.
