The Department of Mathematics & Statistics announces one full time (140 hours/month) Post-Doctoral position for the research programme Regularity in Free Boundary Problems, EXCELLENCE/1216/0025, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research and Innovation Foundation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in the field of Partial Differential Equations, Nonlinear Analysis and Free Boundary Problems.

The successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Collaboration and support of the team towards the implementation of research objectives.
• Work together with the PI and other members to prepare research publications to be submitted in peer-review academic journals.
• Contribution to the dissemination of results and in educational activities (seminars etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD degree or equivalent in Mathematics or any other relevant field.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

The position is on a contract basis of one year (with the possibility of renewal based on successful progress and availability of funds). The monthly cost of employment is equal to €2800. Employee and employer contributions will be deducted from this amount. The position does not include a 13th Salary bonus. The starting date is October 4 th 2020.
