The School of Law and Criminology is situated in the historic world heritage site of the Old Royal Naval College. It is home to over 650 students, studying on the BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice, the BSc Criminology and Criminal Psychology, and other Law and Criminology courses. The School places the student experience at the heart of its approach to teaching and pastoral care and consistently scores extremely well in external student satisfaction surveys.

This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed academic to complement our existing team by making an outstanding contribution to the teaching and research at the School of Law and Criminology in the University of Greenwich. 

You will work closely with the dedicated Criminology team to help to continue the School of Law and Criminology’s progress as a centre of teaching and research excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver innovative teaching in core areas of criminology such as Introduction to Criminology and Crime Theory, while also contributing to our thriving Master’s courses. Candidates should also have foundational knowledge of psychological theories and their application to a criminological / forensic context.  

You must be able to demonstrate a strong teaching profile and a proven commitment to the student experience, including enhancing their employability opportunities. A PhD (or near completion) is essential, as is energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to play a full and active role in the life of the School of Law and Criminology
