The Finance Department aims to provide high quality financial management to both support and enable the growing success of the University. Finance aspires to be regarded as a valued and essential business partner to Schools and Professional Services.

Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will lead the provision of financial performance management for the Schools, support the Schools financial planning process, agree and manage budgets, advise School Senior Management and Budget Holders on performance against budgets and other financial targets. Other key responsibilities will involve providing line management for the team of management and assistant accountants and deputizing for the Assistant Director Financial Performance as required.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have significant accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, familiarity with large scale finance systems, (preferably SAP) and the ability to present and explain financial information to non- finance staff. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and organize a varied workload are also essential requirements. A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA) is essential.
