City’s Student & Academic Services Directorate provides professional, strategic and operational support for the student journey, from supporting young people to consider a university education through to engaging with students to support their future further study or employment.
City has committed to investment in modernising the administrative processes and systems that underpin the student journey through an institution-wide change programme - Modernising Administration for Students. This role will be pivotal in supporting colleagues to implement effective business change.
Responsibilities
The Business and Process Analyst will be responsible for process analysis and process design, requirements elicitation, user acceptance testing and rollout to users. Using their expertise in stakeholder and change management the post-holder will support the projects by facilitating workshops, feedback sessions and other meetings. The post holder will support the project manager in the creation and update of key project artefacts, as well as, other forms of written and verbal communication to gain buy-in and support for the programme.
Person Specification
We are seeking an individual with significant experience in business analysis and very skilled in the core business analysis skills including workshop facilitation, process design and requirements engineering. The post holder must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence stakeholders, have excellent communication skills and a track record for successfully embedding new ways of working.
The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in business analysis and/or business analysis experience within the higher education sector.

This post is fixed term until 31 July 2021 in the first instance. Continuation of the position beyond the initial term is subject to confirmation of further funding.
