Job Purpose
This role will drive the educational and commercial success of the BSc Accounting and Finance programme and contribute to the growth and success of the Business School.
The role holder has overall responsibility for leading the relevant programme, ensuring a high quality learning experience for all students and high levels of engagement with the wider academic, professional and regulatory communities.
Job Background
BPP’s School of Business and Technology has several unique accounting programmes and BSc Accounting and Finance is among them. The programme is designed to appeal to domestic and international students, closely connected to the accounting profession and we will innovate these further.
The BSc Accounting and Finance will undergo revalidation early in the tenure of this role holder so this will be an opportunity to shape the education and early careers of hundreds of students, from a number of countries, over the next few years. This person will work very closely with our faculty and support staff to deliver and excellent experience for our students. This role would suit an experienced education professional who wants to work in a unique business school, managing the design, tuition and assessment of highly innovative programmes. The candidate should be looking for a move into a leadership role and needs to have both practical, academic knowledge and commercial acumen.
This role is an important role within the School of Business and Technology, reporting to the Director of Accounting Programmes. It offers an exciting opportunity to create and lead innovative accountancy and finance programmes in a unique and contribute to a growing school, university and BPP group.

Candidate Criteria
You must have a level 7 academic or professional qualification. So that you can easily understand the needs of international students, you should have experience of working with them. With your general management experience of achieving results through others, you can handle and manage operational complexity.
You have the ability to make reasoned evidence-based decisions and manage your team through the measurement of key performance indicators. Effective and engaging communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others are required. Handling complex stakeholder viewpoints along with facilitating meetings as well as driving actions and outcomes are essential. You must have the ability to set and meet deadlines and to manage the performance of others.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
