Lecturer in Primary Dental Care Research (Non-Clinical)
The Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences is the largest, most influential centre of excellence in the UK for oral and dental research, with an outstanding record of quality assurance in learning and teaching. We are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated non-clinical Lecturer to join the Primary Dental Care team of the faculty. This appointment will be expected to enhance the research portfolio of the faculty, particularly in the field of Primary Dental Care and outreach education.
Applicants should have an academic track record in research and good bioinformatics skills. Appointees will be actively encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from other Faculties, to guide researchers and to teach on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
The appointment(s) will be made on the Lecturer Grades 6-7 (£38,304 to £54,534) per annum, inclusive of £3,500 per annum London Allowance) according to previous experience and academic record.
Appointment at either grade 6 or grade 7 will be determined in line with the criteria outlined in the College’s Procedure for Academic Advancement between Grade 6 and 7. Namely determined by the individual’s demonstrable experience of teaching, course preparation and examining, research and scholarship, and management and leadership ability. The expectations of a grade 7 appointment will be higher than that of a grade 6 appointment.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
This is a full-time post.
