Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (several posts) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 499421), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a primary nursing qualification registrable with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, and a Ph.D. degree in nursing or other healthcare-related disciplines.  They should have a strong track record of high-quality impactful research indicated by international publications and successful external grant applications, preferably in gerontology, long-term care, community health, women’s health and mental health.  They should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and excellence in, teaching and enhancement of nursing and healthcare-related courses.

The appointees will be expected to develop independent research programmes with external research funding from competitive research schemes; contribute actively to research and educational innovations; and undertake teaching duties at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
