Dynamic leadership, inspirational academics and significant financial investment have seen our reputation for research and learning go from strength to strength. We’re looking for exceptional people with a relentless focus on improvement. Join us in shaping the next stage of our exciting future.

Set in the heart of a beautiful, safe and friendly city, the University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious and international institution with high aspirations and a rapidly improving profile.

We are looking for an inspirational Head of the School of Computer Science. Your leadership skills and strategic vision will be complemented by your strong track record in delivering projects including recruitment of staff, building research capacity and external links and delivering a superb student experience through an innovative, accredited curriculum. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to support and develop a talented and motivated team to ensure the School fulfils its potential. As a member of the College Leadership Team, you will have a collegiate approach to working in an interdisciplinary and supportive environment.

Recruiting a large intake of students across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the school is focused on delivering an excellent student experience in a research-led environment. It has an excellent reputation both in the quality of its published outputs and in generating external income to fund a range of innovative and impactful projects. The School’s research is largely driven and managed through four research centres that specialise in Computer Vision, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Human Computer Interaction and Machine Learning. Inter-disciplinary work is further facilitated through two cross-College Institutes: the Institute of Health, and the Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology. Each provides a network of contacts in relevant subject areas across Colleges and subject disciplines, and facilitates links to practitioners, service providers and industrialists.

As an Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder the School is committed to advancing gender equality in this STEM subject.

Please contact the University’s appointed adviser, Imogen Wilde, at Anderson Quigley on +44(0)7864 652 633 for an informal conversation about this opportunity.
