Salary £33,797-£38,017 / Grade J: £38,017-£42,792 per annum

We are seeking to appoint talented and enthusiastic researchers with experience in qualitative research methods to join the QuinteT research group (Qualitative Research Integrated within Trials; led by Professor Jenny Donovan).
The group uses qualitative research methods to optimise recruitment and informed consent to randomised controlled trials (RCTs). We have gained an international reputation for developing and applying the QuinteT Recruitment Intervention (QRI) in over 25 challenging RCTs, across a range of clinical contexts including surgical procedures, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, physiotherapy, renal medicine or novel procedures or methods of management compared with standard or inactive treatments.
The successful applicant will have experience of undertaking applied qualitative research, most likely in a health services research setting. The post will suit a researcher with a PhD in health services research or those with a background in sociology or anthropology, who are keen to develop a research profile in RCT methodology.
The position is available on an open-ended contract basis and we are looking to appoint one full time Research Associate or Senior Research Associate (depending on experience) or two researchers on a part time basis. The post is funded in the first instance for 20 months from the date of appointment (anticipated no later than April 2020 if possible).
To apply, please provide a CV and covering letter demonstrating clearly and succinctly how your skills and experience meet the requirements of the person specification.
For informal queries, please contact: Marcus Jepson; email – marcus.jepson@bristol.ac.uk
