Job description
The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit a Systems Analyst to provide high level systems analysis skills to assist in the delivery of a wide range of LIS projects. You will have a relevant business or systems-based degree, equivalent training or with significant work experience in systems analysis and system development in a relational database environment.
You will be able to demonstrate significant practical experience of systems analysis and be proficient in the use of advanced SQL for complex queries. Utilising your knowledge of structured methods for analysis and design you will be able to translate business requirements into detailed specifications, and system designs into detailed design documentation.
To support the university, you will need a good knowledge of current and emerging technologies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues to provide University wide business solutions utilising the latest technologies and cloud platforms such as Ellucian Banner, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure, Service Bus and SharePoint Online. You must demonstrate a customer focused approach to all your work with the ability to communicate effectively at both a technical and non-technical level.
