Bristol University Press, and its imprint Policy Press, are committed to publishing the highest quality scholarship in the social sciences and aligned disciplines. We want our work to make a positive contribution from the advancement of ideas through to practical implementation.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Journals Marketing Executive to promote our growing journals list and support our sales and open access (OA) activities.

With proven marketing experience within a publishing environment, you will be responsible for marketing the journals: preparing and implementing marketing plans, running social media campaigns, organising conference marketing activities and helping with the development of new journals.  You will also work closely with our sales team and external sales agents to ensure we meet targets and provide excellent customer service.

You will therefore need to be an organised communicator and creative thinker with experience of digital marketing and campaign planning. It goes without saying that knowledge of journals publishing would be extremely beneficial.

Reporting to the Journals Director, and working alongside the wider Journals, Sales and Marketing teams, this is a busy role requiring the ability to undertake a variety of tasks under pressure and work using your own initiative.

Anticipated Interview Date: 18/19 February 2020

For informal enquiries please contact Julia Mortimer at Julia.Mortimer@bristol.ac.uk or Edwina Thorn edwina.thorn@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
