The Saïd Foundation's mission is to bring positive and lasting change to the lives of children, young people and the wider community since 1984, by providing them with opportunities to receive education and care. At the heart of the Saïd Foundation's activities is the provision of around 30 scholarships a year to postgraduate students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine. The programme aims to empower people through educational opportunities and to encourage the development of the Middle East.

We are delighted to be partnering with the foundation to recruit their newest Scholarships Programme Manager who will play a pivotal role in the oversight of the scholarship programme.

As the Scholarship Programme Manager, you will manage all stages of the annual cycle including recruitment and selection of scholars and engagement before and during their studies. You will maintain a strong alumni network along with managing and developing partnerships with both UK partner universities, Chevening, the British Council and the Saïd Business School. In this wide ranging role, you will offer deliver key support to all on boarding and existing scholars, conducting site visits and providing pastoral care and support when required. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to travel to the Middle East twice a year to interview shortlisted candidates and conduct pre-departure visits.

To be considered for this position you will have demonstrated substantial experience in a similar role, assessing and managing scholarships. With excellent stakeholder engagement, you will be a strong communicator and have the ability to develop good working relationships along with good presentation and public speaking skills. You be a highly organised individual who is able to work proactively and act with initiative. Strong knowledge of working with the Levant region together with the ability to speak Arabic is desirable although not essential to this post.
