Role Description

Cranfield is an exclusively postgraduate university that is a global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management.

The International Partnerships and Student Recruitment Department works with and supports the wider University to drive student recruitment by:

  • Providing a first class Admissions Service
  • Creating and supporting International Partnerships
  • Supporting the Schools with marketing activities

This is an exciting opportunity to join the embedded Admissions service located in Cranfield’s School of Management, where you will be a vital part of the student recruitment effort. You will be the first point of contact for all course enquiries and applications, ensuring they are appropriately handled and fulfilled. This includes the review and assessment of applications against university entry criteria and working with academic tutors to reach admission decisions. You will also ensure that accurate offers are produced and communicated to prospective students.

A key part of the role is taking a personal and hands-on approach with each prospective student ensuring that they receive a first class admission experience. The role also supports wider recruitment activities such as student ambassador telephone campaigns as well as sending out communications to prospective students to keep them updated about the university. You will support the wider work of the university at major events such as Open Days, Registration and Graduation ceremonies.

This is a busy and varied role requiring a keen attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately. There will be frequent contact with admission tutors, prospective students and sponsors, so you will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Much of the work is computer based, so IT literacy, experience of using databases and the web are essential.

For an informal discussion, please contact Andy Earland, Admissions Manager, on (T); +44 (0)1234 75 4230 or (E); andy.j.earland@cranfield.ac.uk

At Cranfield, we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential. We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.
