Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 499548), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in medicine, biomedical engineering, biomechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of and experience in orthopaedic implant design, finite element analysis, biomechanics, biostatistics, cadaver and animal handling would be an advantage. This role will require experienced leadership, particularly for the more technically challenging cadaveric and animal study phases of the current grant proposal. The appointee is expected to coordinate the ordering of testing materials, preparation of cadaveric specimens, execution of experiments, and preliminary analysis of data. He/She will also coordinate publication submissions and patent filings.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
The University only accepts online applications for the above post. Applicants should apply online and upload an up-to-date C.V. Review of applications will start on January 31, 2020 and continue until February 15, 2020, or until the post is filled, whichever is earlier.
