About the team

This position is embedded within a large multidisciplinary group of researchers from UWA and other institutions, notably the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, with expertise in animal and plant physiology, livestock and pasture sciences, agricultural systems and extension.

About the opportunity

In this role you will work on a high-profile project in the general area of the care and breeding of Merino sheep, focusing on the physiological and molecular mechanisms of clover disease.

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

  • A PhD in Reproduction, Physiology, Animal Production or a related discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in reproductive physiology and metabolism
  • Capacity to interact with and attract funding from industry partners

About you

To be successful in this role you will be a skilled researcher with an interest in delivering high impact, novel, research outcomes. You will possess a commitment to innovation, teamwork and collaboration and have the ability to work effectively in a large, multi-discipline team with diverse interests and backgrounds. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are confident in interacting and building relationships within the industry.
