Academic B, $95,038 - $112,856 per annum + 17% employer superannuation contribution.  This is a full-time (36.75 hours per week) ongoing appointment.

About the role

You are to make significant contributions to the teaching effort in the discipline of Built Environment, primarily in the broad area of Construction Management, Building Surveying and Building Design.You are also expected to carry out activities to develop your scholarship, research and/or expertise relevant to the profession of Building Construction.

About the person

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, energetic and team oriented academic to a continuing Lecturer in Built Environment position, with PhD in the area of Construction Management, Building Surveying, Architectural Design or related discipline. You should have demonstrated expert knowledge in the area of curriculum design, coordination and teaching of undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes in a variety of settings. You will collaborate with others and actively pursue your own research, fostering productive links with other scholars on the global stage, industry partners and community networks.

Duties

Duties include:

  • Engaging as a lecturer in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and student supervision
  • Contributing to further development of undergraduate and postgraduate units and courses
  • Performing scholarship, administrative and other activities within the College
