We are seeking to recruit a Head of Consultancy Support within central Business Engagement & Knowledge Exchange (BEKE), to lead the development of interactions between the University and Industry. This role represents a significant opportunity to lead change for the University and increase our industry engagement, lead business strategy and academic impact creation.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s and Faculty’s research, innovation and enterprise, and supporting objectives through the effective delivery and growth of a world class university wide consultancy service.

You will be based within the BEKE team, part of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement. They will work with colleagues to develop and implement strategic objectives for the University’s consultancy service provision, addressing opportunities for fully funded collaborative research with business, governmental agencies and other appropriate organisations.

To act as the key contact for internal colleagues and external organisations in all areas of University consultancy activities, the role holder will be expected to be mobile between Faculty and Central University functions and Manchester Innovation Factory (MIF) as part of a functional team of business engagement and knowledge exchange in order to contribute significantly to University-wide provision of consultancy activities.

You will additionally provide strategic advice to the Integrated Business Engagement Manager, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President for Research, Head of BEKE, and CEO of MIF.
