Working as part of the University Student Education Service you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Assessment and Progress function within the Programmes and Assessment Service.  You will work in close partnership with others within the service and cross institutionally, specifically with other Functional leads, Academic Leads and the Faculty Education Service Manager to lead, shape, develop and manage the Assessment and Progress function.  You will require strong leadership skills to be able to drive change and take forward the Service and University vision for the Assessment and Progress function to support an excellent student experience.  You will work in partnership with the Assessment and Progress Manager to ensure student education processes and practices within the Service are managed effectively, delivered consistently and to agreed quality standards.  You will support continuous process improvement for both the Service and the University’s student education practices and processes.

In this client focused role you will contribute to Service level plans and University Assessment and Progress functional projects within Student Education, working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, facilitating good communication, building positive working relationships and delivering results. You will lead and support the Assessment and Progress team, representing the service at institutional level.  Setting key priorities, managing and harmonising processes across the Assessment and Progress function, you will share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange.
