12 days per fortnight with alternative weekends off

The ideal candidate will have a track record of rearing dairy and beef replacements to a high standard, experience of diagnosing calf health issues and preventative management. The candidate will be expected to take responsibility for day-old calves until animals join the dairy herd.

As well as rearing dairy replacements, the candidate will be expected to rear, grow and fatten 120 -150 Aberdeen Angus cross calves, gathering data weekly on all aspects of their production. Data from all groups of animals is to be reported to the Farm Manager weekly to allow constant monitoring of the rearing systems, so proven record-keeping skills will be expected.

You will also be expected to be a flexible team player, with a willingness to assist on the other enterprises as needed.
