About Us

Hartpury University’s estate boasts its own 1,000 acre commercial Home Farm split across several sites. The dairy is part of a mixed farming enterprise, and the herd is comprised of 250 Autumn calving Holstein-Friesians. Cows are milked twice a day through a 32:32 rapid-exit De Laval parlour.

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to milk, AI, foot trim, carry out general stock tasks, and operate machinery to a high standard, and be responsible for the dairy in the absence of the Head Herdsperson.   You will have an interest in working with, and demonstrating best practice to, students. You will also be expected to be a flexible team player, with a willingness to assist on the other enterprises as needed.
