An ambitious university, UWE Bristol is committed to advancing knowledge, inspiring people and transforming futures.

We are seeking to appoint a visionary, dynamic and ambitious Associate Dean (Health, Social Care and Partnerships) of the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences.  The successful candidate will play an important role in continuing the transformation of the Faculty, and, specifically leading the development of a School of Health and Social Care at the Glenside Campus. The successful candidate will be integral in the development and implementation of the School of Health and Social Care and will have leadership responsibility for the School, reporting to the Dean of Faculty and working with the Senior Faculty Executive. The post holder will have strategic oversight of Faculty partnerships, including those with the NHS and other health and social care providers, working with the Executive and other senior colleagues who lead on specific partnership work, to ensure a co-ordinated, business focussed, outcome driven and, where appropriate, formalised approach to partnership work across the Faculty.

We are looking for an experienced senior manager with experience in leading a large team or department and a strong track record of academic and professional achievement. You will be an individual who exhibits a strong work ethic, inspires others and is motivated to create sustainable change. Engaged in research and connected with industry, you will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and change management skills combined with relevant professional practice experience. An understanding and enthusiasm for all disciplines represented across the health and social care sector is vital, promoting the delivery of high-quality teaching, research and external partnerships.
