We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as Manager of the South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (SWW DTP). This partnership is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and provides training, funding and support for postgraduate students who are part of the SWW DTP. The University of Bristol leads the SWW DTP on behalf of consortia which comprise 11 core UK Higher Education Research Organisations and multiple sector partner organisations.

The DTP Manager is the operational lead for the SWW DTP and is responsible for providing high-level strategic direction, leadership and overall operational management of the SWW DTP and for its continuous strategic development, working closely with the SWW DTP Director and other consortium members.

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic manager with experience of working at a senior level in large complex organisations, preferably within the higher education sector. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and be a proven strategic thinker with a strong track record in building and maintaining co-operative relationships and working in partnership at all levels.

You will be capable of providing strong leadership and will have a record of establishing innovative and practical solutions to administration and management challenges within a diverse and complex environment across multiple partners.
