This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated data protection lawyer to join the Governance and Legal Services Directorate and make a significant contribution to the development of the College’s data protection agenda.
Working closely with the Director of Governance & Legal Services and Secretary to Council, you will be a subject matter expert on data protection, undertaking a range of data protection related duties and assisting with the development of data protection policy and best practice across the College.You will also be expected to assist with a range of legal work spanning other practice areas, such as commercial contracts, intellectual property and civil litigation, as required.
You will be a solicitor or barrister with 4 years’ PQE (as a guide only) with expertise and experience in data protection and information security law gained in a highly regarded private practise or in-house legal team. Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering change management projects, particularly with regards to information compliance, will be advantageous.
