An opportunity has arisen within the School of Community Health and Midwifery for some Lecturers to join our highly committed Health and Social Care team. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and visionary, keen to shape education and influence the student experience in a positive manner.
Applicants should be currently working or teaching within a Health and Social care environment ideally within the area of mental health. It is essential to be educated to graduate level in a subject related to the contemporary health & social care agenda. Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential within which a keen interest in health and social care developments are readily demonstrated. You will be committed to the success of your students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and placement areas. A flexible, innovative approach to teaching, learning and assessment as well as within the changing educational environment is essential and a teaching qualification or experience in higher education would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the curricula including the Foundation Degree programmes and other relevant studies. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will lead academic modules and teach across UCLan’s campuses on a range of courses. One role will be based at Preston, another at Burnley Campus and the final will require teaching at both campuses.
