This is an exciting opportunity to lead the successful and progressive Lancaster Medical School (LMS) within the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University, a top 10 UK University. Providing academic and strategic leadership, the Head of LMS will be responsible for developing and encouraging excellence in all aspects of the School’s teaching, research and engagement activities, helping to position Lancaster University as a leader in the delivery of innovative medical education.  

Applications are invited from medically-qualified academics with experience of leadership and management in undergraduate medical education and a track record of research or scholarly activity in a relevant area. 

This appointment is made on the basis of an indefinite permanent academic appointment at Professorial level and it is expected that the appointee will take up an honorary clinical contract within a partner organisation.
