Lecturer in Business Strategy

Employer
UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON
Location
London (Greater) (GB)
Closing date
18 Jan 2020

Do you have a good understanding of the business strategy skills needed to meet organisational objectives and are looking for a challenging role in an environment that is open, vibrant and welcomes new ideas? Then join UEL as a Lecturer in Business Strategy and you could soon be designing, developing, delivering and assessing a programme of high-quality learning experiences.

At UEL we know the world of work is changing and that means our students will need to develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence and resilience to realise their potential, which is why we’ve embedded these future-proofed tools at the heart of every one of our degrees. The Royal Docks School of Business and Law is a vibrant and growing school at University of East London. Our successes are evident by a huge surge in growth of student numbers this year and the increase in applications for the courses for next year. As a result of this growth we are increasing the numbers of academic staff.

Your challenge? To benefit students by providing high quality, innovative and engaging teaching, research, enterprise and professional activity, both as a member of the teaching team, and in collaboration with other colleagues. Day-to-day, you’ll work across a range of modules and courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with the aim of equipping learners with the skills, knowledge and attributes employers need. And, when it comes to working with external partners to promote UEL or having input into the planning and implementation of an organisational strategy at school and department level, again, we’ll count on you to deliver.

Educated to at least Masters degree level in a relevant subject and/or with extensive industry experience, you have extensive knowledge of business strategy used to deliver organisational objectives.

At UEL, we aim to attract and retain the best possible staff and offer a working environment at the heart of a dynamic region with excellent transport links. You can look forward to a warm, sincere welcome, genuine camaraderie and mobility in an institution led with passion, visibility and purpose. Your impact, resilience and sense of collegiality will directly contribute to UEL’s future and those of the students whose lives you will touch and change forever.

We also offer a great range of benefits including pension, family friendly policies and an on-site nursery and gym at our Docklands Campus.
