Director, The Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO)

Spearhead the development of a new organisation which will improve lives by transforming widening participation in higher education

TASO is a new What Works Centre for higher education. Our focus will be on eliminating equality gaps in HE within 20 years.

With substantial sector backing, we are being set up by a consortium and will be fully independent and self-funding by 2022. We will act as a hub for higher education professionals to access high-quality evidence about effective practice in widening participation and student outcomes.

Our founding Director will lead TASO as it spins out of King’s College London as an independent charity. You will be responsible for securing our long-term sustainability, building our brand and presence; and ensuring adoption of evidence-based practice. We need a compelling influencer with a belief in the value of evidence-based policy and practice; and knowledge of HE, widening participation or social mobility. You will have a track record in obtaining funding and have developed a team from inception to maturity.

This search is being managed by Peridot and Partners, for further information and to apply please go to:

This post will be offered on initial fixed-term contract until 28 February 2022.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.
