The Department of Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway seeks to appoint a Professor of Criminology. The successful applicant would be expected to start in July 2020 or soon thereafter.

About the Department:

The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences. It is a forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active department, where we offer undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology & Psychology and Criminology & Sociology, together with Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology, Consumption, Culture & Marketing, Policing and Criminal Justice and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies.The Department is also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.

About the role:

We are looking to make a senior professorial appointment on a full time basis to someone who would make a distinctive research contribution and enhance the international reputation of Criminology at Royal Holloway. Applicants from any fields within the discipline will be considered, and should have a track record of publications and grant income that is commensurate with the level of the position. As a professor, the appointed person will be expected to provide leadership in the development of the Department and School, and to engage with College priorities and external networks.
