We are looking to recruit an exceptional statistician, mathematician, or health economic modeller to help develop techniques to calculate the expected value of sample information (EVSI) of adaptive trial designs and thus estimate their monetary value to healthcare decision makers. This is a multidisciplinary post combining skills across adaptive trial designs, health economic modelling, and techniques for Monte Carlo simulation.

The successful candidate will join the Health Economics Bristol (HEB) (https://www.bristol.ac.uk/population-health-sciences/centres/healthecon/) and Multi-Parameter Evidence Synthesis (MPES) teams (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/population-health-sciences/centres/cresyda/mpes/ at University of Bristol. This post is highly collaborative and will involve working with Dr Howard Thom at University of Bristol, Professor James Wason at Newcastle University, Professor Hawre Jalal at the University of Pittsburgh, and Professor Abdul-Lateef Haji-Ali at Heriot-Watt University.

This post will be offered on an open ended basis with funding confirmed until November 2022.  The successful candidate will be appointed at either Research Associate (grade I) or Senior Research Associate (grade J) level depending on skills and experience.
