Position Summary:

The Research Fellow in Robotic Engineering will undertake research in the area of the uptake and diffusion of innovative manufacturing technologies in shipbuilding and the supply chain, as part of a Flinders University and BAE Systems Australia joint research lab. The incumbent will contribute to research activities associated with digital transformation through advanced robotics, assistive manufacturing and readiness for industry 4.0 utilisation, under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator. In working with the Chief Investigator and research team, the position will contribute to project design and implementation, the analysis of data and the preparation of manuscripts for publication.

The Research Fellow will actively report on new and current research related to the research program, through generation of high quality publications and conference presentations. In addition the position will contribute to the preparation of applications for externally funded research funding.

The Research Fellow will actively supervise and mentor students in major Honours or postgraduate research projects.
