Portsmouth Law School is an ambitious and fast-growing School. It currently comprises 32 members of staff (FTE). Many members of staff are professionally qualified and the School has strong links with the legal profession and with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Portsmouth Law School is an established provider of undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees and has a growing reputation for the breadth of its clinical legal education and innovation in learning and teaching.
The School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow. Although the post is available as either a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow in, only one appointment will be made. Please note each post has a different person specification/ job description. You should also indicate in the ‘reasons for applying section’ whether you wish to be considered for the Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow position.
Candidates should have expertise in Land Law and Equity and Trusts and have current or recent experience of teaching and assessment. Candidates are also expected to be able to contribute to the teaching of at least one of the Foundations of Legal Knowledge.
The successful candidate may also be asked to contribute to the delivery of core and specialist modules in UK Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
You will have drive and a commitment to excellence in learning and teaching. Support to develop teaching skills is available for less experienced staff.
