Position overview

The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant will provide procedural, work environment, risk assessment and inspection services and advice to facilitate the effective implementation and ongoing support of the University’s WHS Management System and contribute towards ensuring the School complies with the guidelines of the self-insurance licence under the provisions of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SCR Act).

The WHS Consultant will work closely with Work Environment Group (WEG) and Facilities and Services Division (F&S). The WHS Consultant will have exceptional written and verbal communications skills with experience in implementing organisational WHS management systems in local areas.

This position is for a full time, fixed term appointment for 2 years with the possibility of extension depending on availability of funds.
