Job description

Department: Estate Management

We are seeking a motivated administrator to provide support to our facilities management teams. You will take responsibility, in conjunction with another colleague, for the monitoring and management of contractors, contracts and a large variety of services.  The ability to work flexibility and effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, reactive environment is absolutely essential.

You will have a good level of education, with a high standard of administrative and organisational experience and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. It is essential you have the ability to work methodically, without the need for close supervision and to time deadlines. You will be confident, willing and able to take a leading role in communication with internal and external businesses using a range of IT systems, adaptable and conscientious.

This part time role will be located at our Bishop Otter Campus at Chichester, ideally working two whole days each week, Thursday and Friday, but some flexibility could be considered.

Informal enquiries about the recruitment process are welcomed by Niki Brown, Administrative Manager on 01243 816320 or email n.brown@chi.ac.uk

The University of Chichester welcomes applicants from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds as they are currently under represented at this level.

The University of Chichester is a friendly, flexible and welcoming university based in West Sussex. The university offers you access to a range of training and development opportunities; discounted Gym membership; a generous Local Government Pension Scheme; 25 days' holiday pro rata, Bank Holidays and University closure periods (e.g. between Christmas and the New Year).

Interview Date: Tuesday 17 December 2019
