Job description

Would you like to join a dynamic and forward-thinking physiotherapy teaching team?

Coventry University was one of the first universities to develop an apprenticeship route through their BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course and the first cohort of apprentices started in September 2019. We also have two established post-graduate MSc courses: Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and Advancing Physiotherapy Practice. This portfolio of courses has recently been increased to include an MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner (MSK route) level 7 post-registration full time/apprenticeship course and an MSc Physiotherapy and Leadership (pre-registration) full time/apprenticeship course.

Therefore, the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic HCPC registered physiotherapist to work as an Associate Professor within the established team of academics delivering physiotherapy programmes at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Our BSc (Hons) programme has been ranked 7th in the recent Complete University Guide 2020.

Successful candidates will possess an excellent understanding of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy practice, research and evidence-informed practice. At Assistant Professor level, applicants will holda Master's degree in a physiotherapy related subject along with being able to demonstrate a high level of expertise within cardio-respiratory physiotherapy.Applicants would also be expected to possess some experience of teaching.

The post is on a fixed term basis for 1 year.
