The School of Nursing and Midwifery conducts world-class research leading to improvements in health and well-being in partnership with health professionals, leading charities, patients and carers.

You will undertake significant teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, engage in scholarly activity and contribute to School/work unit administration/outreach activity.

This is a full-time permanent position.

The successful candidate must have: 

  • Primary degree in Midwifery or a related subject. 
  • Current registration status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Midwife or possession of the qualifications required for such registration.
  • Higher degree (Masters or equivalent in a relevant subject area)

If we do not appoint at Lecturer (Education) level we will also considering appointing at Teaching Assistant level for which the criteria is:

  • Relevant Midwifery qualification (on the live NMC Register).
  • BSc in Health related discipline.
  • Substantial relevant experience working with patients in a hospital, primary care or similar environment.
  • Relevant experience educating and supporting students in clinical practice
